Address:
Danau Tamblingan Street, Sanur, Denpasar Regency, Bali
Also
known as Sindhu Market, Sanur Art Market is a one-stop-shop for all things that
would qualify as a Balinese souvenir. Find yourself surrounded by handicrafts,
sarongs, T-shirts and various knock-offs, such as sunglasses. This market is a
great place to source various traditional foods and fresh produce. It opens
early in the morning, and normally, the fresh produce is sold out by 9AM. Despite
the name, Sanur Art Market is not especially focused on art. It is surrounded
with a myriad of established restaurants and good eateries where you can wind
down after a hectic shopping session.
Sanur’s main shopping street is Jalan Danau Tamblingan and it is more peaceful then shopping in Kuta. Sanur has an interesting variety of shops with lots of nice restaurants. There are still a few hawkers but they are not as aggressive, except at the beach market. You can find woodcarvings, sarongs and other handicrafts in Sanur Art Market.
