This two-story market situated across from the Ubud Palace and smack dab in the middle of town is a local institution with its elaborate warren of shops and stalls numbering in the hundreds.  Looking for local oleh-oleh (souvenirs)?  Then look no further.  You will find a variety of cottage industry merchandise including sarongs, clothing, paintings, carvings, masks, jewelry, and fabrics, plus fresh produce on the ground floor.  Perhaps not the finest handicraft selection but there is certainly a variety and bargains to be had depending on your tawar (bargaining) skills.

Pasar Ubud is traditional market that plays an essential role in the development and promotion of arts and culture in Ubud. It's the perfect place to buy gifts for your loved ones and for yourself too. This traditional market complex is two-story building with a basement area. The basement area is traditional market where vegetables and other daily needs are sold. Mostly traders selling souvenirs for tourists occupy the ground floor and second floor. Because the market is one of the main tourist’s destinations in Ubud, it’s always  crowded. The shops are full of fascinating creative products.
