This village, whose name translates to ‘watch out for yourself’ after the slogan of the resistance led by the prince and national hero Gusti Ketut Jelantik agains the Dutch in the 1840’s, is the site of another baroquely designed Temple of The Dead dedicated to Durga.  Extravagant sculptures of the witch Rangda mark the dominant aspects of the temple but there are also a number of lighter reliefs depicting scenes such as a fisherman hooking a whale, a fish swallowing a canoe, a Dutch steamer and Balinese kites.
