Resting above Lake Bratan atop the summit rim of Gunung Catur, Pura Pucak Mangu is another one of Bali’s holy sad-kahyangan directional temples that was built by the first king of Mengwi.  This remote jungle pura is remotely located and difficult to access via a 6km trek but once at the clearing where the temple is located there are amazing views of the mountains of west Bali to the west and Gunung Batur and Gunung Abang to the east.
