Many years in the running, this annual event focuses on the history, culture and activities that are a part of this famous beach resort area on Bali's southeast coast. The festival also showcases Bali's rich cultural heritage with dances, wayang kulit puppet performances, gamelan orchestras, a kite festival, agricultural expo and more.  The Sanur Sports Festival is also a part of the 5-day event and includes the international beach soccer competition, Bali’s Strongest Man contest, Sanur Quadrathon (biking, running, swimming & canoeing), Sanur Amateur Open Golf Tournament, beach volleyball, 3-on-3 streetball, kite surfing, surfing, and kite flying. The art program promotes several Balinese artists whose paintings and sculptures will be shown in various indoor and outdoor venues around Sanur, while a cartoon contest and exhibition will highlight themed caricatures by artists from Indonesia and abroad. And last but not least, filling out the 5 full days of Sanur family fiesta action are a variety of traditional and contemporary music and culture events take place on the main stage area daily, a jukung (local village boats) jamboree, photo workshop, and a bonsai and adenium exhibition.
