A lush two-hectare sanctuary to around 1000 birds of 250 species from Indonesia, South Africa and South America as well as flora featuring 2000 tropical plants.  Divided into regions that emulate the natural eco-systems of the jungle and rainforest habitats of the birds via large walk-through aviaries, the species that may be seen here include the rare Bali Starling, Papuan Birds of Paradise, Wreathed Hornbill, Jawa Hawk, Serpent Eagle, Blue and Gold Macaws and Barred Eagle Owl.

The birds are most active in the cool of the mornings. One can hear the burbling, warbling, drawling, mournful, harsh, hollow, and guttural, plaintive, staccato and ecstatic cries of hundreds of bird species. Accustomed to being around humans, cockatoos and parrots sit in the branches of trees, and the peacocks and cranes wander about unfettered.
