Directly adjacent to the Bali Bird Park and admittance granted with the same ticket, the Bali Reptile Park, means stepping back into the dawn of time, is home to almost 200 reptilian and amphibian specimens that is said to be one of the largest collections of reptiles in South East Asia. The atmosphere turns from open meandering parkland full of birdsong to a dark humid silent rainforest laced with a labyrinth of narrow paths.  Housed in large terrarium enclosures and outside in lush tropical gardens are a number of large and small, safe and lethal reptiles from the Indonesian archipelago as well as Africa, Asia and the Americas. Expect to see vibrantly colored vipers, massive Komodo dragons, king cobras and certainly one of the largest snakes in captivity – an 8m reticulated python.  For the adventurous there is an open-air area where you may interact with iguanas, crocodile monitors and tortoises.
