Ex UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and wife Cherie, Dolph Lundgren, Jean Claude Van Damme and even the Beckhams have all visited this multi-award winning elephant park set with 3.5 hectares of lush national forest just north of Ubud. And if that doesn't recommend it to you, then the immaculately cared for, the Sumatran elephants surely will. You can ride them through the nearby village as well as witnessing their prowess on the basketball court and behind an easel. Knowledgeable guides area ready to provide information on animal welfare at the park, preservation efforts, feeding habits and all other interesting tidbits related to the gentle giants. Also featured are feeding and petting areas to visit before or after the ride as well as large bathing pools into which the elephants wade (while you stay dry) for one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. And for the pachyderm lover in you there is also a large shop that displays and sells unique elephant memorabilia from around the world including a 15,000 year old mammoth skeleton.

A visit to the Elephant Safari Park is a must for any visitor to Bali.  Get up close and personal with these incredible animals in a beautiful tropical park setting.  Elephants can be seen immersing themselves in the park lake, in between riding, painting or other activities.  Hand feed them, touch them, take photos with them, and then learn more about the elephant’s ancestry and diversity at the Park's historical and graphic displays.

Displays of elephant intelligence and their capabilities can be viewed at the Park Arena and elephants can also be seen painting at selected times daily. Without a doubt the Elephant Safari Park in Taro is a MUST for visitors to Bali, and is the ONLY complete elephant experience in the world - making it truly unique.

You can book an all day tour to experience the elephants. You get picked up from your guesthouse in the morning and after an almost hour drive along the winding roads and through terraced rice fields, you arrive at the park. There are endless lodges and restaurants, a museum, a gift shop, and an endless loop of commercials featuring the birth of some baby elephants at the park and advertising special events.
